Welcome to your Southern Travels Budapest City Break Tour. Welcome to Budapest! Once called the “Queen of the Danube,” Budapest has long been the focal point of the nation and a lively cultural centre. The city straddles the Danube (Hungarian: Duna) River in the magnificent natural setting where the hills of western Hungary meet the plains stretching to the east and south. It consists of two parts, Buda and Pest, which are situated on opposite sides of the river and connected by a series of bridges. Upon your arrival you will meet the representative and then be transferred to the hotel in a private vehicle. Rest of the day free for leisure or optional activities, depending on the flight arrival. Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Later Proceed for Budapest city tour. On this tour you will be passing by the Parliament building before crossing the Danube on the Margaret Bridge and drive to the Royal Castle on the Buda side of the city. Here you will have some free time to yourself to visit the Fishermen's Bastion which offers stunning views over the city and the Mathias Church. Your tour will continue to the Gillert Hill before crossing the Elisabeth Bridge from where you will drive towards the Heroes' Square. Passing by the Opera and St Stephen's Basilica you reach the Hotel Intercontinental where your tour ends. Overnight at the hotel in Budapest.

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Experience 360-degree views of Budapest as you travel aboard an open-top, air-conditioned double-decker Big Bus with audio commentary. Valid for 1, 2 or 3 day, hop on and off at any of the 20 stops. All tickets include a 1 hour river cruise on the Danube, and guided walking tours. Overnight at the hotel in Budapest.
