Georgia Calling - 6 D / 5 N

Welcome to Southern Travels – Georgia Calling Tour. On arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, after clearing immigration and customs formalities and collecting your baggage, you will be met by our Southern Travels Tour Manager. You will then be transferred to your hotel. Check-in assistance will be provided. The Rest of the day is free at leisure.

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia and an important spiritual and cultural centre. Visit the Jvari Monastery and the UNESCO-listed Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Later, return to Tbilisi and visit the magnificent Holy Trinity Cathedral. Continue to Old Tbilisi for a guided walking tour starting from Freedom Square, covering the Clock Tower, Bridge of Peace, Rike Park, Metekhi Church, and a cable car ride to Narikala Fortress. Visit the Mother of Kartli statue and explore the historic Abanotubani Sulphur Bath District & visit Chronicle of Georgia.

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to the Kakheti Region, also known as the “Cradle of Wine”, famous for its ancient wine-making traditions and unique grape varieties. Visit the charming hill town of Sighnaghi, popularly called the “City of Love”, offering beautiful views of the valleys and the Caucasus Mountains. Visit the Bodbe Nunnery, an important religious site. Return to Tbilisi and visit the KTW Winery to experience a wine tasting session.

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed towards Western Georgia, driving from Tbilisi to the Black Sea resort city of Batumi. En route, stop at Martvili to visit the scenic Martvili Canyon, known for its natural beauty and waterfalls. Continue the journey to Batumi and check in at the hotel. The evening is free at leisure for a relaxed walk along the famous Batumi Boulevard.

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a guided Batumi City Tour. Visit Piazza Square, Medea Square, the Poseidon Statue, and the famous moving statue of Ali and Nino. Later, enjoy a cable car ride (approximately 2 km) offering spectacular views of the city, the Black Sea, and the surrounding mountains. Free time is provided for a walk along the seaside beach. Later, drive to visit the scenic Makhuntseti Waterfall and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Return to the hotel in Batumi.

After breakfast, proceed from Batumi towards Tbilisi. En route, stop at Tskaltubo to visit the magnificent Prometheus Cave, famous for its impressive stalactites, stalagmites, underground rivers, and illuminated chambers stretching over one kilometre. Continue the journey to Tbilisi, where dinner will be arranged, followed by a transfer to Tbilisi International Airport for your onward journey.
