Begin your tour with the holiest Pashupatinath Temple. According to religious beliefs, Lord Pashupatinath is the almighty God and the savior of all mankind. Therefore, it is said that all Hindus should make a pilgrimage to the Pashupatinath temple at least once in their lives to pray for eternal peace and salvation.
Then visit to Swayambhunath Temple also known as the Monkey Temple. Resting on a hillock 3 km west of Kathmandu, Swayambhu is one of the holiest Buddhist stupas in Nepal. It is said to have evolved spontaneously when the valley was created out of a primordial lake more than 2,000 years ago. This stupa is the oldest of its kind in Nepal and has numerous shrines and monasteries on its premises.
In the afternoon visit Boudhanath Stupa, the largest Buddhist stupa in the world, built in the fifth century. Before today's stupa was built, it was a campsite for Tibetan merchants. Today, it is the best place to observe Tibetan lifestyle, culture and religious activities of monks. It is also rich in Tibetan products such as Tibetan jewelry, hand-woven carpets, thangkas, masks, kukuli, knives and other Tibetan products.
In the evening proceed Patan Durbar Square & Golden Temple. Patan is one of the oldest Buddhist cities. It is a center of both Hinduism and Buddhism with 136 bahals or courtyards and 55 major temples. Most of these structures are in the vicinity of the Durbar Square. The Golden Temple with literal meaning "Gold-colored Great Monastery", is a historical vihara (Buddhist monastery) situated in Patan.
