Pick-up from Bagdogra and proceed to Gangtok (125 kms. / 4.5 hrs.) - Transfer to Hotel. Leisure in the evening. Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast proceed to Local Visit: Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Enchey Monastery, Institute of Tibetology, Flower show, White Hall, Cottage Industries, Lingdum Monastery, Tashi view point, Ropeway Ride and Tashi view point. Back to Hotel, Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing visit: Tsangu Lake, Baba Mandir at the height of 13500 ft., In case the sightseeing places is not accessible due to unfavourable climatic conditions, we will show visit Namchi village. Namchi meaning “Sky High”. Nestled among the hills at an elevation of 5500 ft., it commands a panoramic view of the snowcapped mountains and vasi stretches of valley
After breakfast checkout from the Hotel Proceed LachungLachung (altitude 8800 ft.) En-route Seven Sisters Water Fall, Miyang Chu, N a g a W a t e r F a l l , Chugthang and Twin Water Fall. Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast, Day Excursion to Yumthang Valley (24 kms.). Yumthang is the summer grazing ground of the Yaks & winter playgrounds of Yetis. On the way back visit Hot Spring. Lunch at Lachung and drive back to Gangtok. Check into the Hotel, Ovenright stay
After Breakfast checkout from the hotel Departure to Darjeeling ( 130kms. / 5 Hrs.) Transfer to Hotel - Leisure in the evening. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Early morning visit Tiger Hills to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Kanchanjunga Mountains, enroute visit the famous Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Later visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Himalayan Zoo, Japanese temple and Tibetology handicraft centre. Enroute you will have a spectacular view of the Darjeeling tea Gardens. Those who are interested to visit Botanical Garden, can go on their own. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Today checkout from the hotel.Transfer to Bagdogra Airport (110 kms.) for onward journey. Enroute visit Pasupati Market (Nepal Border) and Mirik Lake (Natural Lake), surrounded by Mountains and Pine Trees.
Darjeeling, a Himalayan city is internationally renowned as a tourist destination, along with its tea industry and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Darjeeling is "hill town headquarters" of Darjeeling with a partially autonomous status within the West Bengal. The town is located in the Lesser Himalaya at an average elevation of 6,710 ft. The development of the town dates back to the mid-19th century, when the British set up a sanatorium, a military depot and extensive tea plantation in the region. Tea growers developed distinctive hybrids of black tea and created new fermenting techniques.
Gangtok is the largest town of Sikkim, located in the eastern Himalayan range. The town belongs to different ethnicities such as Indian-Nepalis, Lepchas and Bhutia. Nestled within higher peaks of the Himalaya, Gangtok is at the centre of Sikkim’s tourism industry. Gangtok rose to prominence as a popular Buddhist pilgrimage site after the construction of the Enchey Monastery. After the ruling Sikkimese Chogyal, Thutob Namgyal, transferred the capital to Gangtok, it became a major stopover on the trade route between Lhasa in Tibet and cities such as. After India won its independence, Sikkim chose to remain an independent monarchy, with Gangtok as its capital until 1975, when it became India's twenty-second state capital.
Lachung is a town located in the North Sikkim district and is near the border with China. Lachung is at the confluence of the Lachen River and Lachung Rivers, tributaries of the River Teesta. Before the annexation of Tibet by China in 1950, Lachung was a trading post between Sikkim and Tibet. The town's economy has been boosted by tourism in recent years as the region has been opened up for tourists. Tourist comes from all over the world to visit the town between October and May. Most of Lachung's inhabitants are of Lepcha and Tibetan descent while languages spoken here are Nepali, Lepcha and Bhutia.
Yumthang Valley is a grazing pasture surrounded by the Himalayan Mountains in North Sikkim. It is at a distance of 150 km from the state capital Gangtok and is also home to the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary. A tributary of the river Teesta flows past the valley and the town of Lachung. Yumthang is closed between December and March due to heavy snowfall, but a forest rest house is the only permanent residence in the valley. During the spring months, the area blooms with rhododendrons, poppies, iris and other flora. During summers, villagers take their cattle to these heights to graze.
