Delhi - Jaipur

Arrive New Delhi airport / railway station and proceed for the Pink City of Jaipur (265 km /5 hrs). En route visit the Amber Fort and enjoy an elephant ride. Upon arrival at Jaipur, transfer to hotel. The evening is free to explore the attractive colourful market of Jaipur.

Jaipur - Ajmer - Pushkar

Post breakfast, visit City Palace, Albert Hall, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar. Later, proceed to Ajmer ( 135 km /3 hrs). Visit the famous Dargah of Salim Chisti and then drive to Pushkar (11 km). Here, visit the only Brahma Temple in India and the Pushkar Lake.

Pushkar - Udaipur

In the morning drive to Udaipur (286 km/6 hrs). It was the capital of Sawai Dynasty. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Later, visit the famous Jagdish temple which enshrines a black stone image of Lord Vishnu/ Jagannath - Lord of the universe, City Palace and the Saheliyon ki bari Gardens of the Maidens, on the bank of Pichori Lake.

Udaipur - Mount Abu

In the morning drive to Mount Abu (190 km/ 4.5 hrs), the only hill station in Rajasthan at an altitude of 1,220 m, crowning at the highest peak of the Aravali hills. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Later, visit the magnificent Dilwara Jain Temples built in 11th century, Sunset point and Nakki Lake.

    Brahma Temple At Pushkar

    Brahma Temple At Pushkar

    The Brahma Temple is located at Pushkar which is about 11 km from Ajmer. The lake at Pushkar is believed to be created by Lord Brahma and has the same sanctity for Hindus, as Manasarovar in Tibet. It is interesting to note that Pushkar is the only place in northern India where the temple of Lord Brahma exists. The temple is believed to be 2000 years old while the present temple arrangement dates to the 14th century. The temple is mainly built of marble and stone stabs. The temple sanctum sanctorum holds the central images of Brahma and second consort Gayatri. A festival dedicated to Lord Brahma is held on the Kartik Purnima and the place is visited by a large number of pilgrims during this festival.

    Dargah Ajmer

    Ajmer has a historic importance as Mohammed Ghazni invaded the city many times from Afghanistan. Later, it became a favorite residence of the Mughals. It is an important place for Muslim Pilgrims. The Dargah is the tomb of Sufi Saint - Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, who came to Ajmer from Persia in the year 1192. The Dargah was completed by Mughal Emperor Humayun. The main gate to the shrine is the Nizam Gate, followed by Shahjahani Gate, which was erected by emperor Shah Jahan. The annual Urs festival commemorates the death anniversary during the first six days of the Rajab. In honor of the saint, the Qawwali concerts are held reciting Chishti's own works during the Urs. A large number of devotees are attracted to the shrine during the festival.

    Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan, located 335 kilometres (208 miles) west from the state capital, Jaipur and 200 kilometres from the city of Ajmer. It was formerly the seat of a princely state of the Jodhpur and the capital of the kingdom Marwar. Jodhpur is a popular tourist destination, featuring many palaces, forts, and temples. Jodhpur is known as the "Sun City" for the bright, sunny weather and is also referred to as the "Blue City" due to the blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort. The old city encircles the fort and is bounded by a wall with several gates although the city has expanded greatly outside the wall over the past several decades. Jodhpur lies near the geographic centre of Rajasthan, making it a convenient base for travel in the region.

    Udaipur, also known as the City of Lakes, is located 403 kilometres southwest of the state capital, Jaipur. Udaipur is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana Agency as Guhils clan ruled the Mewar. The city was founded by Maharana Uday Singh. Apart from its history, culture, and scenic locations, Udaipur is known for its palaces. The Lake Palace covers an entire island in the Pichola Lake and many of the palaces have been converted into luxury hotels.

    Mount Abu, located in Sirohi district, is a popular hill station in the Aravalli Range of Rajasthan. Mount Abu is 58 km from Palanpur and forms a distinct rocky plateau 22 km long by 9 km wide. The highest peak on the mountain is Guru Shikhar, at 1,722 metres. It is referred as 'an oasis in the desert', as its heights are home to rivers, lakes and evergreen forests. The ancient name of Mount Abu is "Arbudaanchal" and is said to be original abode of the famous Gurjaras. The area has several Hindu and Jain temples. The Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctury covers major portions of the mountains. The Nakki Lake in the Achalgarh fort is a popular tourist attraction.

    Jaipur, the largest city of Rajasthan is popularly known as Pink City. It was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, after whom the city has been named. The city today is remarkable among pre-modern Indian cities for the width and regularity of its streets. The urban quarters are further divided by networks of gridded streets and five quarters wrap around the east, south, and west sides of a central palace quarter. The Palace quarter encloses a sprawling palace complex, formal gardens, and a small lake. Nahargarh Fort, which was the residence of the King Sawai Jai Singh II, crowns the hill in the northwest corner. The observatory, Jantar Mantar, is one of the World Heritage Sites and is an extremely popular tourist destination in Rajasthan and India.
