Neelgarh (Helipad) - Panjtarni (Helipad) - Amarnath Caves

07:00 Hrs. Pilgrims going by Helicopter: Dep. from Neelgrath (Helipad) to Panjtarni (Helipad). Later Proceed to Holy Amarnath Caves by Walk/ Pony/ Doli (5 Kms.). After Darshan / Pooja at the Holy Cave, return to Panjtarni (Helipad) to board Helicopter back to Neelgrath. Stay at Tented accommodation (at your cost). Note: In-case you are not able to take your helicopter on the same day, you will have to stay at Panjtarni in Tented accommodation at your cost in which case you can take your Helicopter next day morning back to Neelgrath (Helipad) 04:30 Hrs.     Amarnath cave is a famous shrine in Hinduism, dedicated to lord Shiva. The cave is situated about 141 km from Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir and reached through Pahalgam town. The shrine forms an important part of Hinduism as it is considered to be one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism. The cave is surrounded by snowy mountains and the cave itself is covered with snow most time of the year except for a short period of time in summer. An annual pilgrimage is made to the Amarnath cave by a big number of Hindu devotees on challenging mountainous terrain to see an ice stalagmite formed inside the cave, which is believed to be lord Shiva’s blessings.

Approximately 8 million pilgrims visit the Vaishno Devi every year. It is the second most visited religious shrine in India, after Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. The Sri Vaishno Devi Shrine Board maintains the shrine and a rail link from Udhampur to Katra is being built to facilitate pilgrimage. The nearest airport is Jammu Airport where all leading domestic airlines have their services.

    Amritsar is the spiritual center for the Sikh religion in the state of Punjab. It is home to the Harmandir Sahib, also referred to as the "Golden Temple" as the spiritual and cultural center for the Sikh religion. This important Sikh shrine attracts more visitors than the Taj Mahal on week days alone. The city also houses the Sikh temporal and political authority, Akal Takht. Amritsar is situated 217 kilometres northwest of state capital Chandigarh and is very close to India's western border with Pakistan. The main commercial activities include tourism, carpets and fabrics, farm produce, handicrafts, and light engineering. The city is known for its rich cuisine and culture and also for the tragic incident of Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919.
