Itinerary

Day 1
Delhi - Haridwar

Departure to Haridwar (205 kms. / 7 hrs.). Check into Hotel .Later visit Ganga Mandir and Harati in the Ganges. Overnight Stay.

Day 2
Haridwar - Rishikesh – Barkot

Morning Proceed to Rishikesh (24 kms). Visit Shivananda Ashram. Ram Jhoola, Swarg Ashram, Geeta Ashram, Lakshman Jhoola. After Lunch Proceed to Barkot (216 Kms. / 7 Hrs.).Upon arrival ,check into the Hotel. Overnight Stay.

Day 3
Barkot- Yamunotri – Barkot

Departure to Janakichatti (48 kms. /2 hrs.) Later Proceed to Yamunotri temple by walk / pony / doli. (Approximate charges for both ways by horse would be ‘800/- to ‘1,200/- and doli ‘2,500/- to 3,500/- Approx). Return to Barkot. Overnight stay.

Day 4
Barkot - Uttarkashi

Leisure time till noon. After lunch, proceed to Uttarkashi (100 kms./ 4 hrs.). Upon arrival, check into hotel. Evening visit Viswanath Temple . Overnight Stay

Day 5
Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi

Departure to Gangotri (100 kms. / 5 hrs.). Upon arrival at Gangotri, take a Holy Dip in the sacred Ganges, perform Pooja & return to Uttarkashi. Overnight Stay.

Day 6
Uttarkashi – Haridwar

After breakfast, departure to Haridwar (190 kms / 8 hrs. ) . Check in to your Hotel. Later, you may visit Manasa Devi Temple & back to Hotel. Overnight Stay.

Day 7
Haridwar -Delhi

Morning proceed to have a Holy bath in Ganges and retirn to your Hotel. Check out the hotel and proceed to Delhi ( 205 / 7 hrs. ) Tour Concludes.

    Haridwar

    Haridwar is an important pilgrimage city, companioned by river Ganges. The river Ganges after flowing for 253 kilometres from its source at Gaumukh, enters the Indo-Gangetic Plains of North India for the first time at Haridwar, which gave the city its ancient name, Gangadwára. Haridwar is viewed as one of the seven holiest places to Hindus. Amidst the Kumbha Mela, millions of pilgrims, devotees, and tourists congregate in Haridwar to perform ritualistic bathing on the banks of the river Ganges to wash away their sins. Brahma Kund is located at Har ki Pauri and is considered to be the most sacred ghat of Haridwar.

    Barkot, located in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand state is a popular destination of northeast. Barkot is located just 49 kms from the sacred Yamunotri Dham. The magnificent Banderpoonch and other massive peaks of the Himalayan range are distinctly visible from the place. Barkot is an ideal adventure destination, offering many trekking excursions. The ravishing landscapes, gushing water of the sacred Yamuna River and apple orchards make visitors fall in love with this place. Barkot is visited by nature lovers and adventurers throughout the year as snowfall during winters changes this picturesque hamlet to a heavenly paradise.

    Uttarkashi

    Uttarkashi, which means Kashi of the north, is a holy town in Uttarakhand. Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi, 1352 m above sea level. Uttarkashi is home to a number of ashrams and ancient temples along with the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering. The name of the town reflects its similarity to the city of Kashi, officially known Varanasi. Similar to Varanasi, town of Uttarkashi is situated on the Ganges and lies next to a hill named Varun Parvat, on confluence of two rivers Varuna and Asi. It also has a ghat called Manikarnika Ghat and has a temple dedicated to Shiva (Kashi Vishwanath Temple) in the center of the town.

    Yamunotri

    Yamunotri

    Yamunotri is the origin of the Yamuna River and the holy seat of the Goddess Yamuna in Hinduism. It is situated in the Garhwal Himalayas and located approximately 30 kilometers North of Uttarkashi. It is one of the four sites in India's Chhota Char Dham pilgrimage and source of the river Yamuna. Yamunotri is the westernmost shrine in the Garhwal Himalayas, perched atop a flank of Bandar Poonch Parvat. The chief attraction at Yamunotri is the temple devoted to the Goddess Yamuna. The temple of Yamuna, on the left bank of the Yamuna, was constructed by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal, which is is made of black marble.

    Gangotri

    Gangotri

    Gangotri is a Hindu pilgrim town on the banks of the river Bhagirathi on the Greater Himalayan Range, at a height of 3,100. Gangotri, the origin and seat of the goddess Ganga, is one of the four sites in the Char Dham pilgrimage circuit. The river is called Bhagirathi at the source and acquires the name Ganga from Devprayag onwards where it meets another river Alaknanda. The origin of the holy river is at Gaumukh, set in the Gangotri Glacier. According to Hindu mythology, Goddess Ganga took the form of a river to absolve the sins of King Bhagiratha's predecessors.
