Arrive Visakhapatnam. Upon arrival at Airport / Railway Station, meet & greet and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit Simhachalam (famous Vishnu Temple), Kailasagiri, Thotlakonda, boating at Fishing Harbour, Rushikonda Beach.

    Visakha Museum

    The Visakha Museum is primarily a historical one that houses the historical treasures of the ‘Vizagapatam’ district of the Madras Presidency of the pre-independence era. It is located on an Old Dutch bungalow on the RK Beach. Some of the notable items on display here are – A collection of photographs of Gandhiji, especially the ones clicked on his visit to Vishakhapatnam, A 250-lb bomb dropped by the Japanese during the World War II that never exploded, A 30” search light reflector used by Vasco-da-Gama’s Ship on his maiden voyage to India, Ancient armoury and life size portraits of the royal family of Vizianagram &Bobbili.

    Araku Valley is a hill station in Visakhapatnam. It is a beautiful valley in the Eastern Ghats inhabited by different types of tribes and is one of the less commercialized tourist destinations in South India. Valley is located 114 km from Vishakhapatnam, close to the Orissa state border. The Anantagiri and Sunkarimetta Reserved Forest which are part of Araku Valley are rich in biodiversity, surrounded by mountains like Galikonda, Raktakonda, Sunkarimetta and Chitamogondi. Araku is popular for its famous coffee plantations as India’s first tribal growers’ organic coffee brand was launched in the Araku Valley, itself.

    Borra Caves Tiribal Museum

    The Borra Caves are situated 29kms from the Araku Valley, near Vishakhapatnam and are acknowledged for their highly beautiful stalactite and stalagmite formations. In 1807, William King George discovered the Borra Caves and assumed them to be a million years old. The Borra Caves are noticeably exhibit a variety of impressive stalactites and stalagmites, in different irregular shapes. Apart from historical value, the caves have religious significance as well. The local people swarm to this place to worship the Shivalinga and the idol of the holy cow ‘Kamadhenu’. The origin of the Borra Caves is believed to be the River Gosthani. The caves were formed due to the perennial river flow over the limestone area.
