All
foreign nationals are required to possess visas for India. Foreign nationals
must obtain a multiple-entry visa for this country if they are going to
enter India more than once as per their travel plan. If they are planning to
enter the country more than once during their trip, they are asked to obtain
a double or multiple entry visas. Here is something important to add that
Indian visas cannot be issued on arrival. Regarding Nepal : All foreign nationals require visas for Nepal, while Indian nationals are not required to have the same.
Citizens of countries other than U.S.A. should clarify from their booking agents that what are the requirements regarding their citizenship, as entry requirements vary in case of every country.
If you have a plan to travel in a group of at least four, and under a recognized travel agent, you may be granted tourist visas or collective visas without prior reference. There is a procedure regarding this. The agency sponsoring the group must submit to the Indian Mission in that country for copies of a list containing particulars of each member of the group.
All the foreign nationals coming to India on tourist visas for not more than 180 days need not to register with any authority. They may visit any part of this country except some restricted /protected areas and prohibited places. Some governments issue family passports. These are recognized without any discrimination.
As
far as the current requirements are concerned, names of passengers on
airline reservations must exactly match the names on their passports. That's
why they should ensure accuracy in this regard. Southern Travels asks for a copy of informational pages from your passport if your travel plan includes air flights booked through our office. ("Internal" flights are included here.) Photocopies of passport can be mailed in or faxed to Southern Travels.
