Day.01 : Arrive Chennai
Arrive Chennai Airport / Railway station. Upon arrival, Our representative will meet you and transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon proceed on a sightseeing tour of the city, visiting Kapaleshwar Temple, Fort St. George, Government Museum and Marina Beach. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Chennai-Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry- Tanjore
After breakfast, proceed to Tanjore (325 kms / 7 hrs), the capital of the Cholas who were great temple builders. Enroute visit Mahabalipuram (Pallava's Panch Rathas, Arjun Shilanyas) and Pondicherry (Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Ganesh Mandir). Upon arrival at Tanjore, Check into hotel. Evening visit the famous Brihadeshwara Shiva Temple (built by Chola Kings). Here you can see Giant Nandi carved in a single stone, which is considered to be the second largest in India. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03 : Tanjore- Trichy-Rameswaram
After breakfast, proceed to Trichy (55 kms /1.5 hrs). Visit the largest temple of Lord Vishnu at Srirangam situated on a 600 acres island between the rivers Kaveri and Kolladam. Later depart to Rameswaram (226 kms / 5 hrs). Upon arrival at Rameswaram (Gateway to Srilanka), Check into hotel. Overnight Stay.
Day 04 : Rameswaram-Madurai
Early morning visit Rameswaram Mandir for Sphatik Shivaling Darshan and have a bath in the 22 teerthams (wells). Later, proceed to Madurai (172 kms / 4 hrs). Upon arrival, check into hotel. Evening visit the famous MeenakshiTemple. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05 : Madurai-Kanyakumari
Morning you may revisit the Meenakshi Temple. Later proceed to Kanyakumari (235 kms / 4.5 hrs), the lands end of India, is a meeting point of the great seas -the Indian ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. A spell binding scene which attracts tourist in large numbers is the unique sunrise and the sunset which is most spectacular at full moon, when sunsets and moon rise takes place simultaneously. Upon arrival at Kanyakumari transfer to hotel. Overnight Stay.

Day 06 : Depart Kanyakumari
Enjoy Sunrise at Kanyakumari. Take a ferry boat to Swami Vivekananda Rock memorial. Visit Kanyakumari Mandir, Gandhi Mandapam and Trisamudra Milan. Later transfer to Madurai ( 235 kms / 4.5 hrs ) to board train / flight for onward journey. Tour concludes.

Those interested in visiting Tirupati -Kanchipuram can take 2 days extension package prior to departure of the tour from Chennai.
