Royal Orient

A luxury train journey by the Royal Orient takes you to the desertland of Rajasthan and the western state of Gujarat. While in Rajasthan, you get to visit world famous places like Jaipur, Udaipur and Chittaurgarh among others. Apart from travelling through the legendary state of Rajasthan, you visit the state of Gujarat, where you visit popular destinations like Sasan Gir and Ahmedabad. You visit the world renowned Somnath Temple and enjoy a jungle safari at the Sasangir National Park, the haven for the very exotic and rare Asiatic Lion.


Day 1: Wednesday
Arrive at Delhi's IGI Airport to be received by our travel representative and get transferred to the hotel. Get refreshed and the travel manager escorts you to the Delhi Cantonment Railway Station, the boarding venue of the Royal Orient rail tour.

Day 2: Thursday
Chittaurgarh is visited for its renowned Chittaurgarh Fort. Built during the 7th century, the fort, at one time comprised of many a palace, that were destroyed after being attacked by foreign invaders over and again.

Our next stop today is Udaipur, the 'City of Lakes'. Maharana Udai Singh built the city in the mid 16th century. It's picturesque location on the banks of Lake Pichola makes it one of the most romantic cities in the country. In Udaipur, you can visit a number of magnificent palaces, lakes and gardens. The highlight of your sightseeing trip will, however, be the Lake Palace.

09:00 hrs - Depart for Udaipur. Breakfast on board
12:15 hrs - Arrival at Udaipur. Transfer to hotel for Lunch

17:50 hrs - Depart for Mehsana. Dinner on board

Day 3: Friday
The day is to spent in the western state of Gujarat. After a sightseeing tour of Mehsana, we head for Ahmedabad which is known the world over for it flourishing textile industry. We visit the Gandhi Ashram at Ahmedabad and other popular sites and then move on towards Sasan Gir.

Centre at Patan
11:15 hrs - Depart for Ahmedabad
12:45 hrs - Arrival at Ahmedabad. Transfer to hotel for Lunch
Post lunch sightseeing of Ahmedabad
Visit Adalaj Vav, Gandhi Ashram, Calico Textile Museum, Sidi Sayyad Mosque and shopping.

20:15 hrs - Depart for Sasan Gir

Day 4: Saturday
Sasan Gir National Park in the state of Gujarat is one of the few refuges for the Asiatic Lion, being included in the list of endangered species. Next, we visit the famous Somnath Temple and then move towards Delwada and Palitana.
08:00 hrs - Arrival at Sasan Gir. Breakfast on board

14:30 hrs - Arrival at Delwada
Visit Ahmedpur-Mandvi beach
Excursion to Diu Fort and St. Paul's Cathedral

Day 5: Sunday
At Sarkhej, get to visit the Jain temples located on top of the Shatrunjaya Hills. We also pay a visit to the Vishala Village. Later, we board the train to revert to Udaipur.

Day 6: Monday
Today, we are left to explore the world famous Ranakpur Jain Temples. Apart from witnessing the rituals, you can also explore the rich and detailed carvings on the pillars and walls of the Ranakpur Jain temples. Later, we depart for Jaipur.
07:15 hrs - Arrival at Udaipur. Breakfast on board
Visit the Ranakpur Jain Temples
Lunch at hotel. Post lunch return to Udaipur
20:00 hrs - Depart for Jaipur. Dinner on board

Day 7: Tuesday
Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, is known to everyone as the 'Pink City'. Here, you get to explore the rich architectural legacy of the Rajput rulers. The highlights of your trip include the Hawa Mahal, the City Palace, the Amber Fort and the Jantar Mantar Observatory. We also visit the Sawai Mansingh Museum. An elephant ride up to the Amber Fort is a big draw for tourists.

Enjoy Elephant ride at Fort
Post lunch visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar
21:55 hrs - Depart for Delhi. Dinner on board

Day 8: Wednesday
The tour concludes as we get back to Delhi. After a farewell breakfast, you are escorted to the airport for your onward journey with lots and lots of happy memories to cherish back home.
