Day 01: Delhi - Kathmandu
Departure from New Delhi to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer from airport to Hotel. Night halt at Hotel Harati. » Day 02: Kathmandu Half day sight seeing. Places covered: Pashupatinath Temple. - dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is one of the most sacred Hindu Temples and Boudhanath - Nepali's largest Stupa, with all seeing eyes of Budha on all four sides. Night halt at Hotel Harati. » Day 03: Kathmandu Half-day sight seeing. Places covered: Patan - Known as Lalitapur in the ancient times, this is noted for its Budhist monuments. Hindu Temples and Deities and Swayanbhunath - One of the most glorious Budhist Chaityas. It is said to be 2000 Year Old. Painted on the four-sided base are the all seeing eyes of Lord Budha. Rest of the day free for shopping. Above cost includes :
* Arrival, departure transfers and sightseeing tour in Kathmandu by private car / van / coach as per the program. * Accommodation in a 3 star hotel in Kathmandu for 3 nights with vegetarian meals- breakfast, lunch and dinner. * Accommodation in Tibet in the guest houses at Nyalamu, Saga, Paryang, Chu Gompa and Darchen. Tented camp at Diraphuk, Zhutulphuk and Manasarovar Lake. * All transfers and sight seeing tours in Tibet by Toyota Land Cruisers (maximum 4 pax in each) with English speaking guide and baggage, equipments by truck. In Nepal, Kathmandu / Kodari / Kathmandu by coach, Kodari / Kailash Manasarovar / Kodari by Toyota Land Cruisers. * All vegetarian meals through out the tour in Tibet (breakfast and dinner is served hot in the dinning tent and picnic lunch is served in the hotcases). * All equipments for camping (tent, mattress, dinning tent, kitchen tent, kitchen utensils, tables, chairs, toilet tent etc) * Sleeping bag Duffle bag (big bag for keeping personal clothes and equipments). * Down jacket. * Jerry can for taking Manasarovar jal to home. Steel hot cases for buffet lunch. * Experienced tour leader / coordinator with each group. Services of sardar, cook, kitchen boys and camping helpers (accompanying the group). * Oxygen cylinder in each jeep * Gemow bag (life saving bag at high altitude) and basic First-Aid box. * Tibet visa fee and permit fee for Kailash and Manasarovar. * Yaks and Yak-men to carry baggage, food, fuel etc while making parikrama of Mt. Kailash. * Porterage wherever applicable in Tibet. Price does not include : * Extra cost of transportation, Porterage etc involved due to landslides, snowfall, political and natural disturbances and any other unforeseen conditions (will cost approximately INR 500.00 to 1500.00 per person). * Extra cost of accommodation and meals in Kathmandu for staying more than 3 nights as per the program to match the flight schedule or for any other reasons (will cost extra INR 1,000/- per person per night with all meals on twin sharing, single supplement INR 700/- per night). * 2.58% of Govt. GENERAL INFORMATION FOR KAILASH TOUR
» VISAS AND DOCUMENTATION - Indians do not need Nepal visa, we obtain your visa for Kailash tour. Photo copy of Indian passport should be submitted atleast 4 to 5 weeks prior to date of journey. Carry your passport along with you. » TRANSPORTATION & ACCOMMODATION - As per the information mentioned in the "Cost includes" » FOOD & BEVERAGE - Pure vegetarian food through out the tour. Supplementary chocolates, biscuits, nuts, nimkins, pickles, etc. recommended to be brought. » BRIEFING & ORIENTATION - Detailed briefing on the programme and on altitude sickness will be conducted in Kathmandu. » TEMPERATURE AND WEATHER - Dry and sunny, maximum temperature 22 degrees centigrade and minimum 0 to -10 degrees centigrade. » HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS - Obtain certificate from doctor for your own safety, own first aid kit containing medicines against altitude sickness, wound, cold, allergies, pain, fever, diarrhoea, dehydration, cough, infection etc (please consult your doctor) recommended to bring with you. 4 to 5 Kms per day walk at least 4 to 5 weeks prior to the departure date is recommended. » ALTITUDE SICKNESS - Can affect anyone of any age after reaching the altitudes of over 5000 m. We carry oxygen cylinder and portable oxygen bottle in each jeep besides Gemo bag (Portable Altitude Chamber), a life saving bag for emergency use. » CURRENCY - At present 1 Yuan = INRs. 6.00 approximately. You can change INRs at the border or at Zhangmu. Please do not carry Rs. 500/- or Rs. 1,000/- INR, as bank's in Nepal do not accept. » TOUR LEADER / STAFF / COORDINATOR -each group is accompanied by experienced professional tour leader besides Sherpas crew. » PHOTOGRAPHY - Still, home video & 8 mm movie cameras are allowed. » INSURANCE - To protect against unforeseen circumstances, we advise you to take a trip cancellation and medical insurance policy in your home country. The policy should also include coverage of transportation cost in the event of helicopter or surface evacuation being required. » PHONE AND BATTERY RECHARGING - Places you can communicate by telephone and re-charge batteries are Nyalamu, Saga, Paryang, Darchen and Hor Qu villages. » CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES FOR KAILASH TOURS - will be warm inside the vehicle but very cold outside. No refund thereafter. Please note that the infrastructure for tourism industry in Tibet is very basic and inadequate. As such, please do not expect the standard you are accustomed to in other countries. However, we will put every effort up-to our limitation under the circumstances to ensure your journey as smooth and comfortable as possible. We also reserve the right to change the itinerary with or without notice in the best interests of all concerned. |
