    The VGP Golden beach is one of the most popular go around places during holidays and weekends in Chennai. It is situated in the ECR road, not too far from the confines of city. The VGP Golden Beach Resort is certainly a refreshing destination as it has a lot of greenery in the form of shady trees and plants. It is an ideal place for picnics and some fun as a lot of fun filled activities in store. There are popular games for children and adults. Some of the special activities include go-kart, dashing car and water chute along with super trooper, giant wheel, aero ship, jumping frog, merry go round, break dance, super jet, roller coast and many more.

    Muttukadu boat house, a water sport facility offer rowing, wind surfing, water skiing, and speedboat riding. It is a backwater area of the Bay of Bengal located 36 km from the city centre and 23 km from Adyar. The water depth here varies between from 3 ft to 6 ft. It is owned and operated by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation where boating spot receives more than 4,000 visitors every weekend. In July 2009, the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation inaugurated a new bamboo boathouse and a floating boat jetty at the Muttukadu boating facility. The boathouse, with a special roof made of bamboo, has a lounge and a restaurant.

    The Crocodile Park is a reptile zoo and herpetology research station, located south of the city of Chennai. The centre is both a registered trust and a recognized zoo under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. The bank is the first crocodile breeding centre in Asia and comes under the purview of the Central Zoo Authority, Government of India. It was established with the aim of saving three Indian endangered species of crocodile such as mugger crocodile, the saltwater crocodile, and the gharial. The centre has one of the world's largest collections of crocodiles and alligators, including the three crocodile species, all considered endangered, that are native to India.

    Mahabalipuram, derived from 'Mamallapuram' is the prior and colloquial name of a town in Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu. With an average elevation of 12 metres, is now officially called Mamallapuram. Mahabalipuram was a 7th century port city of the South Indian dynasty of the Pallavas around 60 km south from the city of Chennai. The name Mamallapuram is named after the Pallava king Narasimhavarman I, who took on the epithet Maha-malla (great wrestler), as the favourite sport of the Pallavas was wrestling. It has various historic monuments built largely between the 7th and the 9th centuries. It has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Thirukazhukundram or Thirukkalukundram is an ancient town in Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. The place is famous for its Hindu temple, Vedagiriswarar temple, popularly known as Kazhugu koil (Eagle temple). There are two temples, one in the basement of the hill and other on the top of the hill. The main attraction of town is the large temple located on the mountain which houses the deity of Vedagiriswarar, Lord Shiva. The temple at the foothills is dedicated to Thirupurasundari amman, Parvathi, which is surrounded by four gopurams. It resembles the temple architecture of Thiruvannamalai Annamalaiyaar temple.

    The Rajiv Gandhi Memorial makes memories of late Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi alive at the site where he was assassinated at Sriperumbudur, India. The memorial has a huge lawn with tree lined pathways where blast site is surrounded by seven pilliars. "The path of Light" traces Rajiv Gandhi's final steps; a stone mural marks the spot of his death, a stone plaque with the history of events. Rajiv Gandhi Memorial is just five minutes on foot from Sriperumbudur as one can get down at Sriperumbudur bus stand, walk toward bypass road one minute after walking towards bypass.

    Kanchipuram or Kanchi is a temple city, which served as the Capital city of the Pallava Kingdom. It is also known by "The City of Thousand Temples". Administrative headquarters of Kanchipuram district, it is located 72 kilometers from Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu. Kanchipuram is considered one of the seven holiest cities to the Hindus of India and in Hinduism, a k?etra is a sacred ground, a field of active power, a place where moksha, final release can be obtained. Among the major Hindu temples, some are the most prominent Vishnu Temples and Shiva Temples of Tamil Nadu like the Varadharaja Perumal Temple for Vishnu. The city is also famous for its hand woven silk sarees.

    India has enriching heritage and one of its most important heritageous places is Thirukkazhukundram, Pakshi Theertham. Pakdhi theertham is located at Kanchipuram district near Chengalpet and is one of the most famous Pilgrim places of Tamilnadu, renowned for its hill temple and Sangu theertham. The uniqueness of Pakshi theertham is two eagles, that come to the hill temple and also takes foodfrom priest at one constant place at noon. To see this wonder there are so many tourists and devotees wait at a place and have the blessings of those sacred eagles. Those two eagles are said to be sons of brahma as they came here for removing thier sins and to attain 'moksha'.
