DAY 1: Barcelona
Fly to Barcelona, one of the Spanish most Cosmopolitan cities. Situated on the Mediterranean Sea, this energetic city will keep you enthralled for days on end.
Barcelona is abound with the colourful works of Spain’s greatest 20th century architect, Antoni Gaudí, together with museums dedicated to Picasso and Miro. Barcelona also has a fascinating Gothic quarter with its maze of streets filled with historical buildings, boutique shops and charming eateries. A walk along Barcelona’s most famous boulevard ‘Las Ramblas’ is a bustling street of cafes, shops and street vendors is a must. Overnght Barcelona
DAY 2: Barcelona
Breakfast. Visit Barcelona including Plaza de Catalunya, the Cathedral and cloister, the Gothic Quarter, the Montjuich Mountain, Olympic harbour and Studium and reproduction of a Spanish Village showcasing typical regional architectural styles. Drive along Paseo de Gracia, visit the Quadrat d’Or, or Golden Square in the Example district, an excepcional focal point of “modernista” Barcelona at the end of the 19th Century. Admire the Catalan art Nouveau buildings by architects such as Antoni Gaudí, Doménechi Montaner and Puigi Cadafalch, to name just a few. See Gaudi’s famous Güell Park and his unfinished Masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral. See also monumental Bull Ring. Overnight
DAY 3: Barcelona – Montserrat – Sitges - Barcelona
Breakfast. Pick up your hire car and begin your journey with a visit one of the winery for a testing and tour to Discovery how wine is made. Drive to the holy mountain of Montserrat, where you take the rack railway up into the clouds to visit the monastery and anjoy amazing panoramic views. The mountain rises majestically to 4,051 feet. Visit the Royal Basilica, which holds the famous 12th century Romanesque carving of Virgen Moreneta, the Black Virgin. The Royal Basilica has been one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Spain for hundreds of years. On some days the children’s choir sings in the monastery at midday, and so you may be fortunate enough to catch one of their delightful performances. Continue to the Cosmopolitan seaside town of Sitges, one of the most picturesque villages on the Catalan coast. With the Garraf massif as a backdrop, Sitges is one of the favourite destinations for tourists visiting Catalonia. Its microclimate, with almost 300 days of sun per year, seventeen beaches, an attractive range of cultural opportunities and its excepcional cuisine and Shopping options, make it the perfect Choice for enjoying the Mediterraanean coast.. DAY 4: Barcelona – Gerona – Figueres - Barcelona
Breakfast. Today you may travel to Gerona, a monumental city which is home to one of Europe’s best-preserved Jewish quarters. Gerona is Dali’s most treasured place, visit the Sanctuary where he was married and Pubol Castle, the most extravagant present that Dali gave to his lover Continue to Figueres in Northern Catalunya, its Empordá Museum and the landmark Dali Museum, to enjoy the works of surrealista artista Salvador Dali. Drop off your hire car. Overnight
DAY 5: Barcelona
Breakfast. Make your way to the train station / airport and depart Barcelona for your next destination.
