LOIRE VALLEY
Day 1:
Arrival at airport in Paris /// Transfer to city center /// Guided city tour /// Transfer to hotel /// Excursion to typical French Brasserie /// Dinner /// Return to hotel.
After arriving at one of the airports in Paris, the transfer service brings you to the city centre for a get-acquaintance guided city tour, before being transferred to your hotel. In the evening a round trip transfer to a typical French Brasserie is planned with a following dinner.(dinner is in option)
Fontevraud l’Abbaye
Day 2:
Breakfast /// Departure to Fontevraud via Chartres /// Guided visit of the renowned cathedral /// Continue to Fontevraud /// Check in hotel /// Guide visit of the Abbey of Fontevraud /// Dinner.
After the breakfast you depart to Fontevraud via Chartres. There you participate in a guided visit of the renowned cathedral, a masterpiece of the gothic art. Afterwards the journey continues to Fontevraud, where you first of all check in at your hotel: A bottle of Saumur white wine is offered upon your arrival. Then, the guided visit of the Abbey of Fontevraud follows which is an exceptional site ruled for years by powerful abbesses, that houses the recumbent polychrome statues Alienor d’Aquitaine, Henri II Plantagenet and Richard the Lionheart.
Day 3:
Breakfast /// Guided tour of Angers /// Guided orientation tour of Saumur /// Return to Fontevraud /// Dinner.
In the morning you participate in the guided tour of Angers, the city of art and history: visit the medieval Castle and see the famous Tapestry of the Apocalypse. In the afternoon a guided orientation tour of Saumur follows. Saumur is the capital of cavalry: view the prestigious school of horse riding and cavalry, the castle and its XVIIth century private mansions. Amboise
Day 4:

After your stay in Fontevraud, you depart to Chinon. There you have a guided orientation tour of one of the favorite residences of King Henri II Plantagenet. Chinon lies between two rivers, and produces the well known Chinon wine celebrated by Rabelais, one of Chinon’s most famous sons. Then the journey continues to Amboise, the most ancient Loire Valley city where a local guide accompanies you. View Azay le Rideau which is certainly worth a photo stop, visit the chateau of Villandry, the last of the large chateau built on the banks of the Loire River!
Day 5:
Breakfast /// Full day guided tour of Chateaux of Amboise and /// Chenonceau /// Return to Amboise /// dinner.
The full day guided tour is dedicated to the visit of the chateaux of Amboise and Chenonceau. Amboise, the most Italian of the Loire Valley Chateaux, was the last residence of Leonard de Vinci. The chateau features an impressive collection of Gothic and Renaissance furniture. The tour proceeds to Vouvray for a short visit and wine tasting. Visit the chateau of Chenonceau, also called “Chateau des Dames”: Built on the river Cher, Chenonceau is the Loire Valley’s finial with its remarkable architecture and it’s collections of fine quality.
Day 6:
Breakfast /// stop in Chambord /// continue to Paris /// free time /// evening round trip /// dinner and cruise /// return to hotel.
One the way to Paris, there is a stop in Chambord to enjoy a guided tour of the most majestic chateau of the Loire Valley: Chambord is the result of a mathematisation of architecture dreamed by François 1st and designed by Leonard de Vinci: a grandiose creation. Then you directly go to Paris where the rest of the day is free for leisure. In the evening a round trip is planned which finally ends in a local restaurant for a farewell dinner. After the dinner you discover Paris by cruise in the Seine River.
Day 7:
Breakfast /// free time according to flight schedule. Transfer to airport. Departure.
