DAY 1: Madrid
Arrival in Madrid and make your way to the hotel. Spend the day enjoying the vibrant and historical sights of the city. Overnight Madrid
DAY 2: Madrid - Trujillo
Breakfast. Pick up your hire car and drive 162 miles south east to the historical town of Trujillo. The town has many buildings dating back to the 15th and 16th centurias, however a visit to the Church of St. James’s, which dates back to the 13th century, is a must. Overnight Trujillo
DAY 3: Trujillo – Cáceres
Breakfast. Travel just 30 miles to Cáceres in the Extremadura region where the historic quarter of the city is dominated by more than 10 towers and the cobbled streets are home to Renaissance palaces. Overnight Cáceres
DAY 4: Cáceres
Breakfast. Day at leisure. Overnight Cáceres
DAY 5: Cáceres – Mérida
Drive south to Mérida, the one time capital of Lusitania and often described as the tourist capital of Extremadura. Overnight Mérida
DAY 6: Mérida
Breakfast. Day at leisure. Overnight Mérida
DAY 7: Mérida – Sevilla
Drive 123 miles to the city of Seville, which according to the legend, was founded by Hercules. Seville lies on the banks of Guadalquivir and is recognised as one of the largest historical centres of Europe. Drop off your hire car. Overnight Seville.
DAY 8: Seville - Madrid
Take a taxi to the train station to board the AVE high speed train north to Madrid, a journey of just 1,5hrs. Arrival and head to your hotel for a final night in the capital. Overnight Madrid.
DAY 9: Madrid - departure
Breakfast. Farewell the city as you check-out of your hotel and depart Madrid for your next destination.
